Strengthening international cooperation: Prosecutor General Andrei Shved met with Iranian Ambassador to Minsk Alireza Sanei

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus hosted a meeting of the head of the supervisory agency Andrei Shved with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Belarus Alireza Sanei. 

Addressing the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, Alireza Sanei congratulated Belarus on joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and expressed the hope that membership in this international structure would not only contribute to the expansion of multilateral cooperation, but would also give a new impetus to the development of comprehensive relations between Belarus and Iran. 

Expressing gratitude to the diplomat for the warm words, Andrei Shved noted that Belarus and Iran are constantly developing political dialogue, and close friendly relations have been established between the two countries. Iran is a significant and time-tested partner for Belarus. The countries successfully cooperate in many areas, including prosecutorial supervision. 

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of the development of legal cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Offices of both States and identified the most important areas of joint work in the near future. 

During the meeting, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus presented the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Belarus with books from the series “Genocide of the Belarusian People”.
