Andrei Shved met with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan

During the visit of the state delegation of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Tajikistan, a working meeting was held between Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Shved and Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod.

Issues of interaction within the framework of the concluded Agreement on cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan of 18 July, 2017, were discussed.

Heads of the departments also considered certain aspects of the provision of international legal assistance in criminal cases, including extradition of persons with the view of criminal prosecution and/or execution of court decisions.

The Belarusian and Tajik sides expressed interest in exchanging experience in overseeing the implementation of legislation on combating extremism and terrorism, and corruption.

Tajik colleagues were interested in the process of investigating the criminal case on genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.

Taking into account the interest of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan, Andrei Shved and Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod decided to implement measures to improve the skills of prosecutors on a reciprocal basis.
