Aleksandr Zhukov appointed to the position of the Prosecutor of the Grodno Region

The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Shved introduced to the staff of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Grodno Region Aleksandr Zhukov, the new head of the apparatus of the regional Prosecutor’s Office. 

Among those invited to the event were the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Inspector for the Grodno Region Yuri Karaev, the Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Karanik, the Chairman of the Grodno Regional Council of Deputies Igor Zhuk, the Commander of the Western Operative Command of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus Igor Demidenko, heads of the Grodno Regional Court, the State Control Committee of the Grodno Region, the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, the Department of the Investigative Committee for the Grodno Region, the Grodno Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Grodno Regional Customs, as well as district prosecutors and prosecutors of the region. 

Describing Aleksandr Zhukov, the Prosecutor General noted his dedication to duty and the Fatherland, moral rectitude, ability to accurately solve assigned tasks, ability to make informed decisions, tactfulness towards people.

Andrei Shved presented a service certificate and wished the Prosecutor of the Grodno Region endurance, wisdom, and fairness.

Alexander Vasilievich was born in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation.

In 2002 he graduated from the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno with a degree in jurisprudence.

After compulsory military service in the Armed Forces of the USSR, he served in the internal affairs bodies, the Investigative Committee, and the State Committee for Forensic Expertise.

Since March 2017 – Head of the Department of the State Committee for Forensic Expertise of the Republic of Belarus for the Grodno Region.

By order of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus of 3 November 2021, he was appointed to the position of the Prosecutor of the Grodno Region.

Awarded with Meritorious Service Medals of III and II degrees.
