Head of State presented state awards and the Colours of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Belarus

The President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko solemnly handed in state awards and the Colours of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War.

“Today’s event, without exaggeration, is a significant and symbolic one in the history of your agency. On the eve of the Day of the Fatherland Defenders, we present state awards and the Colours of the Prosecutor’s Office to people who are responsible for ensuring security, legality and, most importantly, law and order in our State,” the President said.

The Head of State presented awards to the following prosecutors:

Order for Service to the Motherland, 3rd Class – to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Shved;

Order of Honour - to the Prosecutor of Grodno Vladimir Klishin;

Labor Merit Medal:

Darya Zhuk, Senior Prosecutor of a Department of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Brest Region;

Lyudmila Ivanenko, Deputy Head of a Department of the Prosecutor’s Office of the City of Minsk;

Aleksandr Korol, Senior Prosecutor of a Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office;

Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Belarus:

Anatoly Godun, Senior Prosecutor of a Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office;

Pavel Yeliseyev, Deputy Head of a Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office;

One of the decorated by the Head of State, Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of the City of Minsk Alina Kasyanchik, responded with a speech in which she expressed gratitude on behalf of her colleagues: “We undertake to carry the title of prosecutor with honor, devoting all our strength to protecting law and order in our country”.

Alexander Lukashenko presented the Colours of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Belarus to Andrei Shved.

For reference. Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 21 April 2021 No. 160 approved the Colours of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as the Colours) – a special badge of honour, which is a symbol of honour, valor and glory, serving as a reminder of loyalty to the Republic of Belarus and its people, the need to sacredly observe the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and to perform one’s duties flawlessly.

In his speech, Andrei Shved expressed his gratitude for the high honour granted by the presentation of the Colours.

“We undertake to honor and protect the shrine handed over to us as a symbol of the trust of the State in prosecutorial activities. I assure you that prosecutors will continue to fulfill the tasks assigned to us at the highest level,” he stressed.

On the occasion of the memorable event, the Prosecutor General presented the President of the Republic of Belarus the For Merit Badge of Distinction of Prosecutorial Workers and a memorable souvenir – the Emblem of the Prosecutor’s Office.

As part of the event, Andrei Shved talked to mass media representatives and informed about new details of the investigation of the criminal case on genocide.
