Visit to Tajikistan: Prosecutor General of Belarus Andrei Shved signed Agreement on cooperation in the field of combating corruption and took part in a bilateral meeting

Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Shved and Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan Sultonzoda Sulaimon Said signed the Agreement on cooperation in the field of combating corruption (hereinafter – the Agreement), and held a bilateral meeting during which they discussed issues of interaction between the departments.

The signing of the international treaty and the meeting were organized within the framework of the official visit of Andrei Shved as part of the state delegation to the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Prosecutor General of Belarus expressed his confidence that the organizational and practical tools provided for in the Agreement would make it possible to develop effective measures to combat corruption and minimize the damage to economic security for both countries.

At the same time, the parties stressed that strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the legal sphere would have a positive impact on maintaining order in society.

During the bilateral meeting, Andrei Shved and Sultonzoda Sulaimon Said noted that interaction between the departments will help protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, is aimed at preventing and suppressing corruption for the benefit of the development of Belarus and Tajikistan.
