Maxim Voronin appointed to the post of Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus

Prosecutor General Andrei Shved introduced the new Deputy Prosecutor General Maksim Voronin to the staff. Presenting him with his official certificate, the Prosecutor General emphasized: “Maksim Valerievich is well aware of the realities of prosecutorial activity. He has extensive managerial experience, being objective, impartial and professional. I am sure you will learn that soon”. 

Maxim Voronin was born in 1975 in Kostroma, Russian Federation.   

In 1997 he graduated from the Y.Kupala State University of Grodno majoring in “Jurisprudence”, in 2003 – the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus with a degree in retraining “International Law”.   

He started serving in the Novogrudok interdistrict prosecutor's office in 1997 as a trainee investigator, later as an investigator.   

From 2000 to 2004, he was a prosecutor of the department for supervision over investigation in prosecutorial authorities, investigator for crucial cases of the department for combating organized crime and corruption for the Grodno region prosecutor's office.   

From 2004 to 2008, he served in the Prosecutor General's Office in following positions: prosecutor, senior prosecutor of the department for combating corruption and organized crime.     

From 2008 to 2010, he was a Consultant Advisor at the State Secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus.   

In 2010-2012 – Deputy Head of the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus – head of the division of forensic and methodical support of preliminary investigation.

From 2012 to 2013, he was the Head of the Department, later the General Department of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.   

In July 2013, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Forensic Expertise Committee of the Republic of Belarus.   

By order of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus of October 22, 2020 No. 481-k, he was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus.   

He was awarded the Order for Service to the Motherland of the third degree.
