On 24 November 2017, in Minsk, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Konyuk and the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Yusuf Rachmon held a working meeting where they discussed topical issues of cooperation of the two states in the sphere of criminal law.
The Tajik delegation also included Assistant Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdurakhmon Khotambekov, Head of the Department for International Affairs of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan Manuchekhr Makhmudzoda, Head of the Department for Supervision over Compliance with Transport and Customs Legislation on of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan Muzafar Yusufi, Prosecutor for the city of Guliston of the Sughd Region Abdullo Abdullozoda. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus Kozidavlat Koimdodov also took part in the event.
The Belarusian party was represented by the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Aleksei Stuk who is in charge of international legal cooperation of the office, heads of a number of departments directly working with their foreign colleagues.
During the meeting the issues of international legal cooperation, strengthening cooperation in the sphere of the fight against crime and corruption, ensuring protection of the rights of citizens and legal entities were discussed, the participants exchanged the experience of prosecutorial work.
Concluding the event, a Programme of Cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan, containing concrete joint activities, was signed by Aleksandr Konyuk and Yusuf Rakhmon.
